Scientific tools

If you want to analyze and edit recordings quickly, a grip in our toolbox is helpful. We have extended the usual functions for selection and drawings with a scientific field. There you can quickly edit your recordings and analyze structures. With the very simple and practical concept of dotCube — each effect is applied to every selected image - you can quickly edit entire movies, insert labels or correct existing drift.

At a quick glance:

Insert labels and mathematical expressions
Measure height profiles
Analyze structures with more than 120 properties
Mark and edit found objects
Correct drift within image sequences and movies
Determine periodic structures such as crystal lattices

Height profiles

Create arbitrary cuts through recorded data and measure distances and elevation gradients in pixels or in the native format of your microscope. Each graph can be exported to various formats.

Lables and formulas

Insert text and formulas into your recordings: The dotCube formula editor even supports HTML tags in addition to the most common mathematical functions.

Find objects locally

Analyze and track objects in a breeze: This provides the "Analysis object" function. Encircle an object and choose from over 120 properties what you would like to analyze. If you want to explore a destinct object in a movie or sequence of images, simply select all corresponding images. The built-in drift correction searches for the desired object throughout the movie or image sequence and creates a table with the results.

Calculate and correct drift

Movies and image sequences can be aligned with the "Align by object" tool using an object that has already been found. This allows you to create drift-free films quickly and easily. The calculated drift data will be written into a table.

dotCube provides another and more general way to drift correct images without already detected objects which is described in the basic functions section.

Analyze periodic structures and lattices

Periodic structures can be measured using the grid tool. After a visual adjustment, distances and angles are specified in the output window.

Edit objekts

Already found objects can be edited any time. You can adjust their appearance and reprint analyzed properties into a table. This gives you unlimited access to all data analyzed in the past.
